Chests of drawers

Commode Louis XV 570
This classic French style of chest of drawers, comprising two drawers, is composed of a raised body usually on medium-height bowed legs. The legs of this elegant piece appear is if they’re almost ready to jump. The first chests of drawers appeared during the Régence period.
The diamond-shaped varnished or silver decor is a modern interpretation, alluding to the sophisticated “chequered” marquetry of the 18th century.
