CONCOURS 3D – Paul Brissonnet
Auguste, created by the designer Guillaume Hinfray, is an invitation to take a nap. Visually remove the structure of the sofa – backrest, armrests and feet -and keep only the best : the cushions. Why ? For the idleness of course, and as the name recalls, in an imperial format, size XXL. The full grain leathers and softer fabrics caress and induce drowsiness. The padding of feathers and the blurred cushions are reminiscent of a pillow, a duvet, a nest, a cocoon.
Auguste is composable to infinity. It is is a collection of simple elements – angles, 1-seater units with or without arms and ottomans – offered in different widths that add and multiply to suit all desires and requirements. No doubt, here “everything is order and beauty, luxury, calm and pleasure” (Baudelaire, Invitation to Travel).
