Elegant finishings: The painter Soulages was the departure point for my reflections since he excelled in evoking emotions with his monochromatic finishings. The structure of these low, monolithic tables was inspired by his museum. The simple shapes accent the collection’s key point: its finishings. Each piece can exist alone or with the others in endless combinations. The demarcation between the finishing and smooth material makes the assemblage easy to understand. These timeless, transgenerational pieces evoke an idea of slow consumption.
